FAQ/Policies

How many dates will I go on for each Maybe More Event?

You will go on 3 dates (unless you request to go on more) with different individuals.  It really depends on the size of the group and the Matchmaker.

Who pays on the date?

Gentlemen do.  However, if you are in between jobs or got mugged recently, there are many creative and inexpensive date ideas on our Blog.  Then of course, there is always the option of going dutch.  Either way, we encourage men to make the decision and communicate before planning an elaborate evening.  Remember, the first date doesn't have to be a fancy dinner.

Who is a Matchmaker?

Matchmaker is usually a well known married couple, a Community Organizer or a Ministry leader from your area.  Usually a team of two (a male and a female) will invite singles with similar values to participate in a Maybe More Dating Event.

I don’t like to date people that are too old or too young. How can that be taken care of?

When you signup you can specify a particular age range for your date.  For example, you can specify that you don’t want to date people that are 7 or more years older than you and 3 or more years younger than you.  We will do our best within reason.

How many Maybe More Dating Events can I join at a time?

You can request to join as many Dating Events as you wish, as long as the Matchmaker approves it and you have the time to spare.

Do I have to pay to be able to look around?

No, you can search for FREE.  But if you happen to like an Event, then you will have to create a profile for yourself and JOIN that event.  But first you have to buy the credits (by clicking on the CREDITS link from your account or from the left-side menu) and then join the event (by clicking on the JOIN button next to the event).  The fee and expectations will be communicated in the event description.

What if my ex-fiancee joins the same event?

Your matchmaker will be sensitive to matters such as this.  Nobody wants to be set up on a blind date with their ex-fiancee or ex-spouse.  Even though your matchmaker supposedly knows your personal history, it is still recommended that you mention it to your matchmaker to avoid any possible awkward moments.

Who will see my profile?

We understand that your profile consists of a lot of personal information.  Unlike other dating websites, people can not do profile surfing on Maybe More.  Your profile assists your matchmaker at the time of setting you up with someone.  Also, once after you are setup, your date will see your profile and vice-versa, to get a slight idea about each other before actually going out.  Besides your dates and the matchmaker, nobody else will even know that you are on Maybe More.  Your privacy is our priority.

Is this online dating?

No, this website is a tool for matchmaking services provided by local organizers.  Please read the about section to learn how Maybe More works.

How much does it cost?

The organizers (also known as the matchmakers) will set the price.  It changes depending on the demographic.  If it is a college students only event, obviously it'll be a little cheaper.

I'm notified about my upcoming date. Now what?

Gentlemen, please take the initiative.  Men will call the ladies, plan the date, and follow through with it before the deadline set by the matchmaker.  Ladies, please cooperate.  As soon as the date notification arrives in the inbox, it is recommended to the ladies that they send a message to the men,  1. Contact phone number and 2. the available dates and times.  That will save a lot of time and make the planning easier.

I cannot go on a date within the specified time. What should I do?

We understand that at times people travel for work, take sick leave, go on vacations, etc.  If you are unable to fulfill your date within the specified time, just notify your date and the matchmaker(s).  But please make sure to follow through with the commitment as soon as you can.

What is the date feedback for?

After each date, everyone must provide a quick feedback to the matchmaker(s).  Simply login and answer a few questions which will take less than couple of minutes.  It will not be shared with your date.  Primary purpose of this feedback is to make sure you have been on the date.  People will lose the opportunity to participate in future dates, if they don't follow through with their commitments.  Secondly, weeks or months down the road if you need a refresher on a certain date your feedback can work as your personal journal.
